Butterflies with cotton yarn
- Time required: 1 h
- Steps: 9
- Difficulty: Average
Glue two wooden sticks together in the middle. If you need to you can scratch the surface with a scissor to make the glue stick better. NOTE! If using a glue gun, then be sure to ask an adult for help as it will become hot.
Start off with spinning cotton yarn on the middle of the butterfly.
Change the color of the yarn and wrap-around the wooden sticks, do the same on both sides. To attach the ends of the yarn on the back side of the butterfly you can use a glue gun.
Change to a third color and wrap-around the outsides of the butterfly.
Fold a chenille stem in half and thread on two wooden beads on the bottom.
Put the butterfly in the chenille and spin it around so that it is stuck.
Thread a wooden bead above the butterfly.
Shape the chenille so that it looks like antennas.
Make a few different ones, done!
